(ATHLETIC MEET on 28/10/2017)

2nd Annual Sports Meet
             "All the work and no play makes Jack a dull day"
Therefore our school organized 2nd Annual Sports Meet on 28-10-2017. It is the day when students are freed from their classroom to jump and run in the playground. It is the day when children who may struggle with academic subjects show that they can run faster or jump further than anyone else. The House Captains of each house led their respective house on a very well co-ordinated and disciplined march past followed by the oath taking ceremony led by Head Boy of the school and Mr. Gurjot Singh (Sports official) who took the oath on behalf of all students and match officials respectively. Sports meet began with  hoisting the flag by the chief guest Mr. Parminder Singh  S.H.O Fattu Dhinga followed by pigeons and balloons releasing ceremony that signifies she realeasement of grief and celebration of life. As a token of appreciation bonquet was presented to Chief guest by Sir Director and Ma'am Principal.

6. Discuss throw
7. Long jump
8. Tug of war

Right from the beginning every participants and even spectactors were flood with passion and cheering their participants at the top of their lungs. It was a pleasures to watch the performance. Stiff competition was witnessed in various events. The thrill , the excitement and pleasure of winning were most memorable moments of this event. Special events were orgnaized for parents and tecahers as well which were the centre of attraction. Mr. Navtej Singh Cheema , M.L.A Sultanpur Lodhi graced the closing ceremony of the sports meet. winners were awarded with badges and certificates by Sir Chairman  Mr. Jaspal Singh Randhawa, Ma'am Vice Chairman Mrs. Baljit Kaur Randhawa, Sir Director Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa, Ma'am Principal Mrs. Sakshi Chopra proposed a vote of thanks as She said  , " I am deeply impressed and immensely delighted to see that you gave your best and worked (Teachers and students) as a team to make this sports meet a truly memorable and successful one."Sir Director , Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa closed the sports meet by unfurling the National Flag followed by National Anthem. This successful sports meet was the evidence of the accomplishments of  GADIAN's education system to faster all round development , enhance life long learning , nurtune positive values and attitudes , and enable the students to attain acheivements in various domains according to their own attributes and interests.

INTER HOUSE CHESS AND CARROM (CATEGORY : SENIORS)
BADMINTION AND CARROM (CATEGORY : JUNIORS) (2017-18)

Co- curricular activities facilitate in the students development of various domains of mind and personality such as intellectual development, social, moral and aesthic development. As a part of co- curricular activity, today we had 1st Inter House sports competition which was divided into to category colts and fillies and seniors.



CHESS Chess not only teaches a students to plan well, but it also improves the students ability to act in different situations. Practicing/ playing chess enhances the thinking and reasoning skills of a student which helps him/her to make better strategies. Two students from each house participated in this matches. Numbers of matches quarter final, semi final and final played among the students to adjudge the winners. It is one of the brainiest competitions. Students It used the best strategies and moves to win the competition. Akashdeep from Tulip House got 1st Position in chess competition.

CARROM The Competition was organised in two categories seniores and colts and fillies. Two students from each house participated. After the preliminary rounds, four teams from each house qualified for the main draw. Fixture was prepared in such way that teams from same house do not face each other in any of the initial rounds. Students from all houses gave some stellar performance to pick off a very exciting sports calender. House got the 1st position.

BADMINTON
This competition was organised for category colts and fillies two members from each school participated. Series of matches were played among the different teams. Students showed the best strokes and well awarness about the games rules.

At the End result was declared Ma'am Principal congratulated all the winners and sports teacher to make the first  Inter  House sport competition a huge success.

Sports Tournament (2016-17)




Sporting activity at Guru Amar  Dass  Public School forms an inseparable part of student life. Apart from boosting essential physical activity and exercise, it gives them the joy of participation, thrill of competing and opportunity for leadership and team spirit. All-embracing infrastructure has been made available for the convenience of our students who wish to participate in any sporting event.  The annual Sports Day is always a star studded event in the annals of Guru Amar Dass  Public School where the champions of our school look forward to celebrate their achievements .Students are also encouraged to take part in inter-school competitions and staff members are delegated to guide and accompany the teams for tournaments at the District, State and National levels.
