WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS


"Change is inevitable in life. You can either resist it and potentially get run over by it, or you can choose to cooperate with it, adapt to it, and learn how to benefit from it. When you embrace change you will begin to see it as an opportunity for growth."
Our school organized a workshop,  "Embracing changes and impermanence" to make our students more courageous, more emotionally even-keeled, and more mindful of the present. The day was graced by the honorable resource person of the day, Mr. Sachin Sidhra, Associate professor at the department of soft skills for professional enhancement at Lovely Professional University, Mr. Pankaj Vij, HOD of Tie-ups North India at LPU, Mr. Ashish Sharma, Territory Head, North-1 Punjab Region, LPU.Sir said that accepting and embracing change allows us to adapt better to become more flexible. Change can be a lot harder on someone when they resist and reject it. Accepting change makes dealing with change and impermanence a lot easier. Maam Principal, Mrs.Sakshi Chopra thanked the resource persons of the day and said that by embracing changes and impermanence, we can more easily accept the difficulties that life throws our way.

CARRIER COUNCIL FOR GRADE X STUDENTS


Guru Amar Dass public School Ucha Bet held Carrier Council workshop for Grade X students. All the concerned teachers of different streams guided the students in choosing their career easily in the competitive world . The occasion was graced by Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa, Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra and respected parents of the students. Both Sir and Ma'am advised the students to avoid excessive use of Mobile Phones and focus only on their academics. All the parents thanked Sir Director and Ma'am Principal for organizing the workshop to guide their wards.

Today as the time is changing, gradually the responsibilities of a teacher are also growing. It has become very important to hone the teaching skills of the teachers every now and then, so that they can satisfy the curiosity of the enthusiastic students. For evolving such an important factor, Guru Amar Dass Public School organized a workshop on Vocabulary and Confidence building activities - Role play, Informal talks, Imaginative stories etc., large and small group teaching activities, tool and classroom readiness for the teachers of Kindergarten of Guru Amar Dass Public School.
Mr. Arvind Rajput was the resource person. He is an inspiring and thought-provoking trainer with expertise in primary leadership, pupil creativity and curriculum design, Workshop started with the worship of God. Then Mr. Arvind Rajput have taught the various teaching techniques with the help of activities to the teachers. It was truly a fruitful session for the teachers.

Education is a never-ending process. It doesn’t stop after earning a degree and starting a career. Through continuing education, career-minded individuals can constantly improve their skills and become more proficient at their jobs. To upgrade the teachers to attain the same goal, Guru Amar Dass Public School, Ucha Bet organized a workshop for the teachers. This workshop commenced with the lamp lightning ceremony followed by the floral welcome of the resource person of the day, Ms. Vinodita Sankhyan, The Principal of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, Amritsar, Sir Director, Mr.  Jatinderpal  Singh Randhawa, Mrs. Manisha Sood and Mrs.  Rajinder Kaur, Principals  of Adarsh Institutions. It was further followed by prayer and welcome song by the teachers. Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi  Chopra extended her warm welcome to all the dignitaries. Ma'am Ms. Vinodita Sankhyan discussed the various topics with the teachers such as
1. Behaviour issues in the class and causes
2. Challenges of Teachers in the 21st century
3. Do's and Do not for teachers.
4. Classroom understanding  and its Importance
5. Creating Environment
In addition to it, Ma'am  also advised the teachers  to keep updating  their  portfolio having deep insight into the various topics, being the volunteer, attending seminars, and getting more degrees of different languages as he/she must be "Jack of all trades". All the teachers enthusiastically shared their views regarding different topics and actively participated in the fun-cum-learning games organized by the Resource Person of the day. At the end of the session, Sir Director said that the school belongs to the teachers as they set the standards of the school and create responsible and creative leaders of the future, so they must try to keep updating their knowledge of various subjects. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra. After the end of the workshop, all the teachers had the delicious lunch and were looking enthusiastic to teach the students using the newly learnt teaching methods when they left the hall.
