BOOKMARK ACTIVITY

   


 
 

To enhance the creativity and aesthetic sense of the students, our school organized ‘Bookmark Activity’ in which students from Grade I to XII participated. The students used handmade paper, lace, buttons, paints, glitter, adhesive, ribbon and many more for the same. They stuck pictures and wrote motivational quotes on them.They enjoyed making bookmarks as it was an opportunity for them to display their talent and creativity. Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra appreciated the efforts of the students and Activity Incharge Mr. Sukhdeep Singh Sandhu

EXPLORING IMAGINATION

       

Drawing and Calligraphy Competition was organized by “Exploring Imagination” in school premises. Our students showed their great artistic skill and bagged a bundle of prizes including outstanding awards in both competitions.  Winners were awarded by Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra. In addition to it , Mr. Sukhdeep Singh got “Best Organizer Award” whereas Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi  Chopra got “Leadership Award” and our school got “School of Excellence Award”.  Sir Director congratulated all the winners and appreciated them for their efforts.

KEY RING TAGS AND BOOK MARKS ACTIVITY


BOOK MARK AND KEYRING TAG MAKING ACTIVITY


On 12.04.2017, A Book Mark and Keyring tag making activity was organized for the children of classes I to XII in the school premises. The tiny hands of children made absolutely beautiful creations. Paper, chart paper, ice cream sticks, colors were used to make the lovely book marks. The judgment was carried out based on the following parameters - Effectiveness of design, creativity, neatness, overall effect, conviction of the message and usage of waste material.

Art is a fundamental human process. Every society, from most primitive to the most sophisticated has expressed itself through art. Young children use art as a means of learning. Art must be acknowledged as base for individual development and must be taught effectively. Young children of our school delight in experimenting with the media of art activities moulding clay, making of paint, smearing paint with fingers, cutting, tearing and constructing, Art activities are organized to give a showcase to the hidden creative skills of students.


COTTON & FEVICOL PAINTING, WASTE NEWSPAPER ACTIVITY


In order to make students aware of uses of waste material, and give them a lesson on reducing waste to save our future a ‘Best out of waste competition was organized on 05.05.16 for students of class 1st and 12th.Students were directed to bring necessary material. They were instructed to use waste material. With their creative hands, students converted the waste material into beautiful bouquet, wall hanging, pen stand, wind chimes, clocks etc.

Class 1 to 5th made rainbow, flower, smiley faces, ice- cream, sun with the usage of cotton and colours.
Class 6th to 12th used newspaper and CDs to make beautiful candle stand, flower pot, lamp ball, Bouquet etc.

Key ring tags or making of wind chines from old keys (Class IX – XII)

Best out of waste is one of the most enjoyable crafts that children can be engaged in. This activity was organized at GAD Public School on 14.07.16 to explore and encourage creativity in students and offer them a plat form to showcase their skills. It inspires children to think and work creatively and promote artistic excellence.

Students used egg trays, m-seal, tissue papers, glace papers and made flower bouquet and wall hangings. Senior students made key ring tags. Students used A3 size sheets, wooden articles, wooden rings to make beautiful key ring tags. Students showed their craft skills by forming the waste bangles and coke caps in beautiful keyring tags.

Vegetable printing was an activity for category atoms. Students used lady fingers, onions, potato, lemon leaf and printed the paper envelopes.

RAKHI & CARD MAKING


Rakhi& Card Making activity was organized in the classrooms of classes 1st to 12th. All the students participated in this activity.

All the boys were directed to make card and the girls were directed to make Rakhi. These activities was organized on 17.08.16 to celebrate the special eve ‘RakshaBandha’.

Girls used cotton, adhesive, sparkles, ribbons, colorful glitters, paper to make beautiful Rakhis. Girls showed their love and affection towards their brothers by making beautiful Rakhis. Boys made cards for their sister to show their love towards their sister. They made beautiful cards and write heart touching quotes on them.

Creativity is a great motivator because it makes people interested in what they are doing. To encourage the students. Best out of waste activity was conducted in the classrooms on 13.10.16. Students were directed to make innovative design with the help of foil paper and glaze paper. Category Atoms exhibited their mind blowing creativity in making kites, boats flowers with the help of foil paper and glaze paper. They decorated their items with waste material and made them attractive.

Category colts and fillies were directed to make bags and folder with the help of discarded ivory sheets, Students formed the sheets into beautiful purses, footwear, penholders, folders. Their creativity and ideas were praiseworthy. They made carry bags also. The purses made by the students were looking mind blowing. They showed their creatively over discarded papers and everybody was amazed with their creative skills as their paper bags were looking same as original hand bags.

Category Senior made puppet by using socks rags and waste material. They made puppet owl, soft- teddies and pillow etc. They filled the socks with rags to give them particular shape of their puppets. Waste material was used to give them finished look. Students put their best foot forward and took great interest in making puppet.


DIYA & CANDLE DECORATION

Art & Activities


For Welcoming the festival of lights Diya and candle decoration activity was organized in the classrooms on 28th October 2016.With the excitement of the festive season in the air, the students of class VI to XII participated in this activity. They displayed their creativity by decorating the earthen lamps beautifully. They used adhesive, glitters, cotton and other waste material to decorate diyas. Some students made candlesticks. They showed their great creativity over the waste material.

Bookmark Making Activity

 

School organized ‘Book Mark Making Competition’ on 07.04.16. Students from 1st standard to 12th standard participated in this competition. The main motive of conducting this competition was to create awareness among the students how to make their notebooks impressive. Students came up with amazing ideas and it turned out to be a great success.
Students used ivory sheets, ribbons, fevicol glitters and other necessary material to make bookmarks. They made butterflies, stars and cartoons as their bookmarks.
