 NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY CELEBRATION 2021

The National Girl Child Day in India
is celebrated to raise awareness among people about inequalities, discrimination, exploitation faced by the girls in society. In the same context, our school appreciated the girls who actively participated in curricular and co-curricular activities during online classes.

 VALEDICTION CEREMONY 2020

"Goodbyes are not forever,
  Goodbyes are not the end.
  They simply mean I’ll miss you,
  Until we meet again.”

Our school organized a valediction ceremony to bid farewell to the outgoing batch of Grade XII students. It was the morning of mixed emotions for all present at the school auditorium to witness the official send-off for Grade XII students at the valedictory ceremony 2020. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments. The Auditorium was festooned appropriately keeping in mind the theme i.s. " Disneyland". The party was hosted by Grade XI students and of course, endeavored to leave a trail of nostalgia behind for the students of XII. The day was graced by Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa, Ma'am Dr. Ramanpreet Kaur Randhawa, and Ma'am Principal,Mrs. Sakshi Chopra. Elegantly dressed, the outgoing students entered the school premises at 10:00 am and they were well received by Grade XI students. The day began with the prayer, welcome song followed by dance performances given by host students. Various games were organized for students of Grade XII to make the day enjoyable. All the students participated enthusiastically and they enjoyed every moment of the day. Different titles were given to the seniors' students keeping in mind their caliber and capability they have shown throughout the session. Finally, Mr. Ranjit Singh and Ms. Harman Bajwa crowned with the title of Mr. and Ms. GADIANs respectively.
It was then that the students of grade XI and XII felt the real pain of separation and grief washing over them.
Sir Director blessed all the students and wished them all the best of luck for the future. Ma’am Dr. Ramanpreet Kaur motivated the students and said that they must hard work to pursue their goals and when they will google their names and a huge list of images and achievements will appear and we all will feel proud of them. Ma’am Principal bade farewell to her beloved students with heavy heart and tears in her eyes. There ended a beautiful day with a cake cutting ceremony followed by a lot of indelible memories marked with both happiness and sorrow and lots of love.



REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

   
 

 

"Justice, Liberty Equality, Fraternity. May our dream of a new tomorrow come true for us." India became independent from the British Rule on August 15, 1947. India did not have a permanent constitution at that time. India's constitution came into effect on Republic Day, January 26, 1950. So, to commemorate the day, our school celebrated the Republic Day with great zeal and patriotic fervour. The day was graced by the Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa. The celebrations kicked off with the floral welcome of the Chief Guest of the day followed by school prayer, thought, word of the day. The school amphitheater reverberated with patriotic favor and enthusiasm when our students sang the song, "Nanha munha Rahi hu Desh ka sipaahi hu Bolo mere sang Jai hind Jai hind ". Teachers delivered the speeches and a brief quiz was also conducted after it and those students who gave the correct answers were duly rewarded with delicious cookies by Sir Director. Students performed " Nukkad Natak" and recited poems to make them aware everyone of our fundamental rights. Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa greeted everyone on this grand occasion and said that being a true Indian, we must spread the message of love, brotherhood to the every corner of the world. The celebrations reached to its culmination with National Anthem.

NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

 
 

 

 

In this new year 2020, “366 new days are coming for you, which means that you have 366 new chances to make your life beautiful!” Our school organized a special assembly to welcome the students after winter break and celebrate New Year. The celebrations began with the floral welcome of the chief guest of the day, Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra followed by the lamp lightning ceremony, prayer, thought, word of the day. The teachers sang a melodious song to welcome the students whereas students sang a song to bid adieu to the year 2019 and welcome 2020. Teachers delivered speeches and poems were narrated to make the special. The students broke the stage with their scintillating dance performance. The students were shown the video highlighting the achievements of the school in the year 2019. The tiny tots of Kids Paradise took the resolution i.e. Speak Truth. On this day, Sir Director and Ma’am Principal honoured Ms. Manpreet Kaur and Ms. Simranjit Kaur, Amrik Singh and Paramjit Kaur with the Badges of  “Teacher of the Month”, Employee of the Month and “Caretaker of the Month” respectively. In his address, Sir Director welcomed the students and advised them to set their goals and start pursuing it with hard work and strong determination. Ma’am Principal advised them to be curious students this year to expand their mental horizons as much as possible. The celebrations ended with the National Anthem.

LOHRI CELEBRATION

 
 

 

The festival of Lohri has a great significance as it marks the harvesting season in Punjab and the end of the winter season. Keeping in mind the same view, our school celebrated Lohri in school premises. The celebrations began with the floral welcome of Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra followed by the thought, word of the day. The students sang songs “Kudiyan Di Lohri” that infused a new spirit embodying the spirit of celebrating the girl child birth.The Students also recited poems and teachers delivered speeches highlighting the importance of the festival of Lohri which ushers in the cheerful spring season bidding adieu to the bone-chilling winter. Students gave scintillating dance performances. The ice on the cake was the surprise dance performance of the teachers that mesmerized everyone present there. The tiny tots of ‘Kids Paradise’ sang the song “Dulla Bhatti Wala”.

Sir Director, Ma’am Principal and teachers lit the holy bonfire and everyone absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. Everyone immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab by singing, dancing on the tune of “Dhol”. Both Sir Director and Ma’am Principal greeted everyone and apprised the students about the importance of the festival. The celebration ended with the distribution of cookies and groundnuts among everyone.  
                                    

 

DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION

 

 

 

Dussehra, the festival to celebrate the victory of good over evil, was celebrated in our school with a lot of religious zeal and fervor. The celebrations started with the school prayer followed by the thought, word of the day. The students were adorned in attractive outfits for the day to perform the great epic Ramayana where they were dressed up as Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Sita, Hanuman, Ravana etc. They spoke on the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated in the country.
The students of Grade IX played Nukkad Natak and Motivational Video was shown to project the message of Triumph of Goodness over the forces of evil. Ma'am Sandeep Kaur delivered a speech and a brief quiz was also conducted and those students who gave the correct answer were rewarded with delicious cookies by Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra. Ma'am Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and advised them to be truthful and follow the path of goodness as good always triumphs over evil and light always conquers darkness. The assembly ended with the National Anthem

To acknowledge and appreciate the teachers for their commendable dedication towards their students,a very special "Mega Event" was organized by the Our School Management in which the teachers of 3 schools were invited. The occasion was graced by honourable President Ma’am , Mrs. Baljeet Kaur Randhawa , Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa, Vice- President Ma’am , Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur Randhawa, Ma’am Dr. Ramanpreet Kaur Randhawa, Ph.D in Human Genetics, Ma’am Principal Mrs. Sakshi Chopra , Ma’am Mrs. Manisha Sood, Principal of GAD Adarsh Institute, Sri Goindwal Sahib and Ma’am Mrs. Rajinder Kaur, Principal of GADSS School. The celebrations began with the Lamp Lightning ceremony by all the dignitaries followed by the welcome address by Sir Director. To ensure the participation of every teacher present there, all the teachers were divided into four groups led by Group Leader. For the teachers, various fun games were organized such as Balloon Caterpillar, Dice Game, Crossing under the Rope, Dumb Charades and many more. All the teachers participated wholeheartedly in all the games and winners were rewarded with gifts by the chief guests of the day. All the members of Management, Principals and teachers had fun, dance and made the day memorable. All the dignitaries were given a token of gratitude for organizing such an astounding feast. The day ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra and Ma’am Mrs. Manisha Sood followed by scrumptious lunch had by the Management, Principals and Teachers.


MOTHERS DAY CELEBRATION


 
 

 
 

 

There is one relationship in this mortal life which effortlessly scores above all other known relationships on this Earth. That extraordinary relationship is none other than that of the mother, which is truly priceless in terms of her countless love, dedication, and devotion towards her family. To acknowledge the presence of all mothers around the globe, Mother's Day was celebrated by our school. The assembly started with the school prayer, word, thought of day followed by speeches and poems. Students performed a play projecting the theme of Mother's love and sacrifice for her child. Students also gave scintillating dance performance and videos were shown highlighting the importance of the mother. The students of our school were given an opportunity to show their appreciation for their mothers as we organized "Cards and Jewellery Making Activity" in our school. To show their love and respect, the young, enthusiastic GADIANs made beautiful cards and Jewellery for their mothers. Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa said that the mother undoubtedly plays the most vital role in our overall development of her child. Her importance and significance in our life are superlative to all other possessions. Ma'am Principal also said that no relationship on earth is so passionate, so deep-seated, so sincere and so genuine as one existing between a mother and her child. A country can never be great in the generations to come without great mothers. The celebrations ended with National Anthem.

Our school celebrated 7th Annual Prize Distribution Function with great zeal, enthusiasm, excitement, fun and frolic.
The celebrations kicked off at 11:00 AM with grand opening.  Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest of the day, Rajiv O Wadhera, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Chairman Sir, Mr. Jaspal Singh Randhawa, President Ma’am, Mrs. Baljit Kaur Randhawa, Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa, Vice- President Ma’am, Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur Randhawa, Mrs. Aarti  Dada, Principal of Cambridge International School and our special guest Dr.  Ramanpreet Kaur and Principals of Guru Amar Dass group of Institutions, Mrs. Manisha Sood, Mrs. Rajinder Kaur and Ms. Jagpreet Kaur.
The function was inaugurated with the lightning of the ceremonial lamp by all the dignitaries followed by ‘Shabad’ to seek the blessing of Almighty and welcome song. The function was woven around the theme “Incredible World” that was meticulously projected by an alien akin to human being who was descended on earth to visit one place to another to observe the culture and tradition of various countries.
In the first part of the function, tiny tots of the school mesmerized everyone present there with their dance performance when they tapped their feet on the floor. With their inexplicable dance performance ,students gave the reflection of various countries such as Cuba, Brazil, South Africa, France , Netherland and many more by bringing smile and proud on the faces of their parents . After it the alien descended in Punjab where he witnessed the culture of Punjab.  All the parents and dignitaries were in raptures to see the comedy- cum – thought provoking play that sent the audience into peals of laughter. It was followed by Nukkad Natak and English play projecting the theme “Sacrifice of parents” that made the audience believe that all the students of our school are the luckiest ones who are studying under the tutelage of Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra.
In the second part of the function Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra promulgated the Annual Report of the year 2017-18. The chief guest of the day along with other dignitaries gave away the prizes to the meritorious students. Students who excelled in co-curricular activities were also honoured. Many teachers were also awarded with the “Award of Appreciation” and “100% Attendance Award”. Students were also given “100% Attendance Award” whereas Akashdeep Singh was honoured with “Student of the Year Award”.  All the distinguished guests handed over the trophy of ‘Best House’ to the House Incharge of Daffodil House and its members. While addressing to the students, Chief Guest of the day, Rajiv O Wadhera opined the importance of girl education and advised the students not to stop after accomplishing one goal but to continue to pursue another. Sir Director Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa stressed upon the importance of teachers and parents working hand in hand for the development of child’s personality. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ma’am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra followed by enlivening performances of Giddha and Bhangra.
It was indeed a joyous moment graced by respected parents, teachers and all the dignitaries.  Everyone left the hall with an energized feel, overwhelming happiness and with smiles on their faces after this exhilarating evening.
