Inter - Class Characters Come Alive Competition for Grade III to IV


Our school organized the Online Inter-class  Characters Come Alive Competition for Grade III and IV.
Ma'am Principal,Mrs. Sakshi Chopra congratulated the winners and honoured them with certificates and medals. It was the moment of utmost happiness for students and their parents.


Inter- House Poetry Recitation Competition

Our school organized the "Inter-House Poetry Recitation Competition" for category seniors and the "Inter-House Show and Tell Competition" for category atoms. Ma'am Principal,Mrs. Sakshi Chopra congratulated the winners and said, "If you have the ability to push your limits,  improve your skills, and most importantly keep learning, success will be yours." The winners were honoured with certificates and medals.

When we set out goals and pursue it, there are always obstacles, doubters, mistakes, and setbacks along the way. But with hard work, perseverance and self-belief there is no limit to what we can achieve. It has been yet again proved by our students by scoring top positions in an online quiz based on the 300th Shaheedi  Purab of Bhai Taru Singh Ji. Our shining stars Gurkaran Singh from grade IV was honourd with school bag  and clipboard,Taranpreet Kaur of grade V was honoured with a wristwatch whereas  Jasleen Kaur of grade XI was rewarded with both a clock and wristwatch.Congratulations to all the winners!

All educational institutes have been closed amid the nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus even further in our county. Hence, Our school organized the first Online Inter-House English Declamation Competiton on April 10 for the category seniors. All the participants displayed confidence, enthusiasm, and awareness and gave their best shot while participating in the competition. The competition was adjudged by Honorable Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Eminent Ma'am Principal, Mrs.Sakshi Chopra. With immense pleasure, now, we are going to announce the result of the first Online Inter-House English Declamation Competiton. In this competition, Daffodil House bagged 1st Position whereas the second position was secured by Tulip and Carnation House, and Lotus house bagged the third position.

RESULT OF INTER-HOUSE POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION

 


“Poetry is simply the most beautiful, impressive, and widely effective mode of saying things.”
The online Inter-house Poetry Recitation Competition was organized by our school for the category seniors. The young poets of our school enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. It was heart-warming to see amazing performances which indeed was a result of hours of practice. This competition was adjudged by Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa, Vice President Mam Dr. Ramandeep Kaur Randhawa, Academic Advisor Dr. Ramanpreet Kaur Randhawa and Ma’am Principal Mrs. Sakshi Chopra on the behalf of following parameters of assessment:
1. Memorization
2. Articulation
In this competition, Lotus and Daffodil House got the first position whereas Tulip and Carnation House secured second and third positions respectively.

   Session 2019-20 

 WALL MAGAZINE COMPEITION


Our school organized the Inter-House Wall Magazine Competition for the category seniors. Four Participants from each house participated in this competition from each house. Various articles, interesting facts, and other materials had been created by students for the same and displayed on the board. The judges of this competition Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa, and Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra assessed them on the basis of 1. Attractiveness 2. Presentation 3. Relevancy of Graphics 4. Attention to details. The jury members asked them questions regarding the theme they depicted on the board. They also gave them suggestions to improve their work. It was a sheer delight to see all of them expressing themselves so beautifully through the medium of art. In this competition, Tulip House bagged 1st position,2nd position was bagged by Daffodil House whereas Lotus House got the 3rd position. The winners of the competition were awarded certificates by Sir Director and Ma'am Principal.

FLOWER ARRANGEMENT


The research shows that flowers are the perfect expression of gratitude and appreciation, and they deliver a message with sincerity and care. These positive characteristics also are attributed to the giver. Keeping this in view, our school organized the Inter - House Flower Arrangement Competition for the category seniors. In this competition, 4 students from each house participated. All the participants enthusiastically took part in the competition and their knowledge about the flowers used was incredible. One could not miss out the interesting captions added to their arrangements. It was a beautiful display of creativity, symmetry and blend of colours. Sir Director,Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma'am Principal,Mrs. Sakshi Chopra adjudged the competition on the basis of 1.Innovation 2. Theme & Design 3. Presentation
In this competition, Daffodil House got 1st and Tulip House got the second position whereas the 3rd position was shard by both Lotus and Carnation House.
Sir Director and Ma'am Principal were spellbound to see the creativity of the students. Both Sir and Ma'am congratulated the winners and awarded them certificates.


COOK WITHOUT FIRE COMPETITION


To develop the skill of non- flame dishes among the students, the inter-house ‘Cooking without fire’ competition was organized for the category Colts and Fillies.
The students exhibited their culinary skills and prepared nutritious and healthy dishes with fruits, vegetables, and sprouts, etc.
It was a feast for the eyes and stomach as well. The participants coined very interesting and creative titles for their dishes and presented them in an artistic and aesthetic style also. The competition was adjudged by Sir, Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa, and Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra on the behalf of 1. Arrangement 2. Creativity 3.Presentaion 4.Utility. In this competition, Daffodil House wrested 1st position and Tulip House got 2nd position whereas 3rd position was shared by both Lotus and Carnation House. Sir Director and Ma'am appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated them on their achievement.

INTER HOUSE SPELL BEE AND POWER  POINT COMPETITION

The Inter-House Spell Bee and PowerPoint Presentation Competitions were organized by our school.
As Language plays an important role in the all-round development of a student. Appropriate words with correct spelling convey the right message.
“Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.”
The Spell Bee Competition is conducted to give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways, enrich their vocabulary, learn concepts and develop the use of correct English. The competition was divided into 4 rounds such as Spell Well, Word Formation, Word Chain and Dictation. All of the participants worked incredibly hard to prepare themselves for this competition and gave their best.

In the second part of the competition,2 students from each house participated in PowerPoint Presentation Competition.This competition was a good opportunity to display the collaborative effort of students from different houses and classes. It brought forth a lovely amalgamation of intelligence, research, and creativity.

INTER HOUSE MATHS MODEL MAKING COMPETITION

 



 




 

“Pure Mathematics is, in its way the poetry of logical reasoning.”

To enhance the mathematical skills of the students and eliminate the “Maths Phobia " The Inter-House Maths Model Making competition was organized in the school. In this competition, three students from each house participated.
This competition was adjudged by Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma'am Principal,Mrs. Sakshi Chopra on the basis of following parameters of assessment :
1.Technical skills/workmanship 2. Utility/Educational Value 3. Presentation -Explanation and demonstration 4. Principle.
All the houses competed with full zeal and enthusiasm to excel and achieve success. The efforts and dedication of the participants could be witnessed through various models based on the concept of Trigonometry, Geometry, Probability and many more.
Both Sir and Ma'am accoladed the efforts of the students and awarded the winners certificates.

INTER HOUSE SCIENCE  MODEL MAKING COMPETITION

It is very important for the students to explore and engage in enquiry-based learning. Science exhibitions provide a platform whereby students indulge in hands-on activities and project making. This surely nurtures their inquisitive minds and unleashes creativity.
Giving this due importance, Our school organized The Inter-House Science Model Making Competition. Three students from each house participated in this competition. The competition was adjudged by Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma'am Principal,Mrs. Sakshi Chopra on the basis of following parameters of assessment :
1.Technical skills/workmanship 2. Utility/Educational Value 3. Presentation -Explanation and demonstration 4. Principle.
The students formed groups and every group prepared a working model which was assembled in the school. All the models captivated the judges’ attention. The students prepared working model such as Agriculture- modern techniques and irrigation, Community health and environment, The impact of thermal pollution on the environment, etc. The students elucidated the judges about their working models. It was a hands-on experience for them which also helped them to research, create, collaborate and communicate. Both Sir and Ma'am were delighted to see the students having a scientific bent of mind. The winners were awarded certificates by Sir Director and Ma'am Principal.

INTER HOUSE ENGLISH DEBATE COMPETITION

To hone public speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions, our school organized The Inter – House English Debate competition for the category Colts and Fillies. The competition was adjudged by Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra on the basis of following parameters of assessment:
1. Content relevance
2. strength of arguments
3. Presentation style
It was indeed a riveting debate with a crisscross of opinions and apt rebuttal and the speakers spoke with enthusiasm and gusto. The participants were well prepared and undoubtedly convinced the audience and jury members of their beliefs and views. The participants were armed with confidence and hard work. Both Sir Director and Ma'am Principal appreciated the efforts of the participants and lauded the teachers for grooming the students.


INTER HOUSE STORY NARRATION COMPETITION

 
 


 
 

A wise man once said, “After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.” It’s the stories that give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. It is in our imagination that we embrace things and situations that we shy away from the real world. Since time immemorial, storytelling has been an integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and the love for reading in students, The Inter- House Story Telling Competition was organized for the category Atoms. Five students from each house participated in this competition
The students participated with their tremendous efforts to make this event a successful one. The stories that they narrated were moral based and these young story tellers used a variety of props to make their stories interesting and expressive. Each story concluded with a moral highlighting the different values of life. The judges for this event were Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra who assessed the performance of the students on the basis of 1. Presentation 2. Voice Intonation 3. Gesture.
Both Sir Director and Ma’am Principal praised the efforts of the young GADIANs and awarded the winners certificates.

INTER HOUSE EXTEMPORE COMPETITION

 
 


 
 

Public Speaking is gradually becoming an integral part of a students life. So, it becomes imperative to prepare them for this from the early stages of their school lives. GADPS believes in undertaking such challenges which result in the betterment of its scholars. Therefore, an extempore Competition was conducted for the category seniors.

Every participant was given three minutes precisely to prepare the speech on the topic allotted at that moment. The students were asked to pick up slips for the sequence of participation and also for the topic to be assigned. The participants quickly got into their calm domain to tackle the uncanny topics conscientiously and prudently only to make each one praiseworthy and a spontaneous speaker.
The topics in the competition varied from being associated with current news, issues, and happenings, to topics that were completely abstract.
The competition was adjudged by Sir Director, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh Randhawa and Ma'am Principal, Mrs. Sakshi Chopra on the basis of the following parameters of assessment :
1. Content Relevancy
2. Confidence
3. Clarity of Speech
4. Fluency
